Tyson joined APA in 2016 after completing his Masters in Landscape Architecture from Rutgers University. Before returning to graduate school, his professional work experience included residential and public space design, ecological restoration, and campus design for The Willow School’s Health, Wellness, and Nutrition Center. As an invited team member of Rutgers’ Center for Environmental Sustainability, Tyson’s projects ranged from historic preservation and adaptive re-use to coastal resiliency and ecological enhancements on armored coastal infrastructure. During his professional and academic career he has been fortunate to have collaborated on projects that have garnered awards from the NJ ASLA, CT ASLA, and ASLA. Tyson is an Accredited Judge with the American Orchid Society (AOS).
