The Millrace property is spread over 6 acres throughout Ivoryton and required improvement to those areas with the greatest public visibility and functionality. Entrances were to be enhanced for a greater sense of arrival. Parking was designed for safer passage to the park areas. The health of many neglected roadside trees was addressed.
The pedestrian circulation around the main house was cause for improved flow of foot traffic with added stone steps for a gracious transition to the great lawn. Areas for dining and entertaining were created by careful screening of undesirable views. Further public luxuries include an outdoor shower, dog run and shelter, screened area for waste and recycling.
