This coastal bathhouse was built to replace an old cabana in association with the restoration of an historic coastal inn. Built as an amenity for both inn guests and the residents of this beach community, the bath house provides lockers for beach equipment, rest rooms, outdoor shower, a snack bar and deck.

Referencing the adjacent dune landscape, a mound forms on the west side of the bath house serving both to obscure the exposed septic area as well as animate the landscape with the local coastal vegetation of beach plum, bayberry, Virginia rose, bearberry, bluestem grass and beach goldenrod. Native species were also planted on the perimeter of the property with a long term objective of removing invasive species and restoring the indigenous maritime shrubland.
